BORING!
This isn't the place to visit if you're from out of town. You will be hounded by creepy representatives to join and it's a spiritual eyesore to this state.

Not that fun...
When you get there, all you do is look at a tall temple building. That's all. There is nothing 'fun' about walking around a temple or stairing at a really tall building. Now the Gateway mall was fun, small but more fun then the temple.

Enjoy the experience
The missionaries serve as tour guides and do love to share their beliefs, but if you leave your misconceptions at the gate and just enjoy the beautiful grounds it can be a wonderful experience. The temple itself is beautiful and a testament to the faith of those that built it. There are some great films you can watch, and I also enjoy the family-centered presentations.

Tour Is The Wrong Word
We were greeted at the North entrance and asked if we'd like to take the "tour". Since AAA had recommended it, we accepted. What a mistake! This is an indoctrination to the Mormon religion and a recital of the faith by the young "missionaries" guiding the tour. For example, we were led to a balcony where we were asked to sit and look at a large statue of Jesus and contemplate. No mention of who sculpted that statue, for example. I could go on about the details of the rest of the "tour" but, be forewarned, this is a propaganda spiel about the Mormon church, not a tour of Temple Square. Thankfully, it lasted only 30 minutes.

Sunday morning at the Tabernacle
We were surprised to learn we could watch the Mormon Tabernacle choir record their Sunday t.v. program. It was really incredible. The architecture of the buildings, the welcoming attitude of the people, and the informative tour were really worth the time, and it didn't cost a thing.

It's ok
I do not much care for this place. People are very judgmental and rude on the street, you can't go in unless you join their group. Very busy place.

It is so spiritual
You feel like someone special walking on the grounds of Temple Square. My thoughts were free and happy and open to learn and absorb what my Lord and Savior offers us. Don't miss the movie in the basment of the Joseph Smith building - it will really set your mood and you will LOVE IT.

Very Interesting Visit
Accually I enjoyed everything about my visit to Temple Square. The guides were very prepared to answer our questions. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie about Joseph Smith and the Restoration of Gods True Church on earth. I will come again.
