Prometheus is quite a big place in the old town and almost exactly opposite of the "Golden Roof." But beware, it's not quite as posh a spot as you might expect from the location. It calls itself a "Rock Café," and the lovers of music that come here tend to treat themselves to a glass of beer or two - after all, it's the thing that goes best with rock music. The cellar bar in particular is quite a noisy place, with a fairly idiosyncratic atmosphere based on its dark stone walls, dim lights and seductively comfortable sofas, but also a dance floor. Up the stairs, there's the café part of the establishment, where everything's much more quiet.

Prometheus - Keller - The oldest club in town Prometheus Keller is the oldest dance club in innsbruck [20 years]. it is diveded into a café n chill area, where you can eat n drink (warm n cold), the other part is the prometheus - keller (cellar), innsbruck ' s oldest dance club. in the cellar you can expect exhausting parties, cheap prices, nice staff, nice (english - speaking) guests, ranging from students to real pure tyrolean workers. it s the variety of sound that makes this location so unique within all the various dance clubs in innsbruck. the resident djs keep surprising the dance-audiences day by day, week for week, year by year. also check out their stylish homepage: http://www.prometheus-keller.at

+cheap, superb djs, nice ppl, unique sound, nice staff, in the heart of innsbruck, next to the most popular sight in town "goldenes dachl", exhausting parties, not only weekends, -small dance floor, small location ~ 100 ppl, not suiteable for non smoke
