After being deserted for many years, this temple became a meditation center in the 1940s. Within the complex are some old meditation cells and a beautiful chedi (spire). However, probably most conducive to meditation are the tranquil forested grounds. If you need an escape from the city, recharge yourself by taking a walk through the 50-acre park where many trees and a lake lie. Also found here are a museum and a library with a range of Buddhist literature. Near the gate is an area where you can buy handicrafts made by local handicapped people.
