Back to Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens (The) Beautiful and Informative The unique thing about the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is ... you know how when you go to botanical gardens, it's like plants, plants and more plants, which is beautiful and it's why you're there, but the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens also blends interesting history with the beautiful plants. And since the gardens have been there since the early 1900's they are very mature. It opened to the public in the early 60's but Mrs. Cummer had been gardening there since the early 1900's. The view of the arches with the ocean behind it is just beautiful. On the museum side of it there are beautiful paintings and porcelain. If you like porcelain and Japanese art you will love it! I collect napon china and I really loved the museum.
