Compared to many other bars located in the viaduct, Babalon's interior decoration is inordinately rare. The highly idiosyncratic ambience of this place is strongly based on the eye-catcher in the center of the room - there's a larger-than-life Virgin Mary in the midst of the guests consuming their drinks. Anybody who does not feel comfortable with Mary peeping into their glass will find a few other seats, for instance at the bar or at one of the small tables. During warm summer nights, Babalon's glass panel towards the street is opened. It's a fine place for a talk, but also for celebrating. Finally, it is here that prominent artists or politicians are most likely to show up.
