This 40-storey hotel is perhaps best known for the 1980 sky-walk catastrophe, where numerous people died when a suspended walkway crashed down just after the hotel opened. Since that tragic beginning, this hotel has evolved into one of the most luxurious properties in the region. The Hyatt is within walking distance of Crown Center, Hallmark Cards Visitors Center, Union Station and Science City.
