El Alelbrije belongs to the new disco-bar genre because of its lack of a proper dance floor. However, people can dance next to their tables, which are far enough apart to do so. There is a high fidelity sound system and the decor is Mexican-influenced with alebrijes, wooden creatures made up of different animal parts, all over the place. The atmosphere is modern and young.
