Situated in the Albert Dock complex, the Pump House stands right on the dockside and provides an ideal vantage point to view the waterfront. Once a fully-functional dock, this building was originally used to pump water between the docks, hence the name. The polished wooden floor and dark timber fittings fit the nautical theme, which is carried over the ground and upper floor. Lunchtimes are particularly busy as they serve a well-priced menu that includes dishes such as soup and crusty bread, the curry of the day, Scouse or perhaps Sweet and Sour Pork. There is a good selection of wine.
