550 baht a night w/fan 2nd floor. showers work fine not much hot water. clean rooms, friendly staff, very good value for yr money.Phones don't work from rooms,all activities are cheaper by 50% at other outlets (travel agents) the hotel staff push thier own tours(elephant tours etc.). the pool feels good after trekking about in the hot sun.

It was our second time in the Lai-Thai.

We were treated badly after we complained about the service of our food, when our main meals were brought out before we had finished our entrees, when we made two orders and clearly stated 'entree' and 'main'. the food was bad, and the manager then insulted us over the phone and made us pay for food we could not eat as it has been sitting on their service counter for over 30mins. after this incident, we were not even acknowledged as guests there, when we could finally get them, they were rude to us. nice rooms, but couldn't sleep past 7am because the maids outside the rooms were loud, yelling at each other across the hall outside all the rooms.

First thing to know about this guest house, it is in the prostitutes' street. All pubs and bars around, ALL are prostitutes'.
