Set in a gloriously refurbished Thai house, Le Café Siam is a step back into yesteryear. The pillars downstairs are similar to the railway bridges built in the 1920's. Delightful antiques, great temple drawings and paintings make up part of the exquisite decor. There are both French and Thai dishes, with the popular Goose Liver and Onion Chutney in Raspberry Vinegar for starters. Follow up with a Duck Leg Confit with Sauteed Potatoes, then head to the lounge upstairs for coffee and desserts. Wine is sold by the glass, and there is also an extensive cellar.average cost: THB 450
