Nice Atmosphere
We rode the Metro Link from to Union Station and ate lunch there. The shopping was not that diverse or good- mainly Cardinals stores, knock-off purse stores, and hat stores-, but it was a nice place to go in and cool off. There are little displays that show the historic side of Union Station- those were pretty interesting. And the stained glass windows above the old main entry are beautiful.

kind of a ghost town
My husband and I stayed in the Marriott that is located in the Union Station. When we walked in the doors from the side parking lot behind the pub we were suprised to see one store to our left. We then walked down checked into our room and then walked further down. There we seen 3-4 Cardinal stores or sports stores, some was expensive but beats paying the prices at the stadium. We then went upstairs to the food court which had numerous things to choose from, we ate Quiznos very friendly service and good food. We then went down where the fudge shop was and they put on a very funny show and then you got a free sample of the fudge they just made..very good and we did end up buying some. One night we sat upstairs and watched the jumpers on the trampoline bungee thing they have in there when we were waiting to go do our next activities for the day...We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, Landry's Seafood and the Houlihans all located in the mall, all had decent prices and very good food. The wait staff at Hard Rock was kind of slow and wasnt that busy for a Friday night but was seated very quickly at all resturants. We played the glow in the dark putt putt which was 7 dollars a person for 2 games for 9 holes, its just a small kind of homemade course, and at the time it was just my husband and I in the couse which was a good thing because to many people in there wouldn't be that fun. The Metro Link was also located near the Station so it was nice to be able to take that where we needed to go. Not much at the mall anymore but it said it was remodeling.

Not a bad visit
My family of five visited Union Station on March 29, 2007. We had been being good little tourists of St. Louis all day, and were starving when we arrived. We ate dinner outside at Houlihan's. The food was VERY good, and the waiter was very attentive. Eating outside near the "lake" was very nice. The outside place is very cool to look at, being half covered, half uncovered, and with water shooting out over the "pond". You can feed the fish there too, with the quarter food vending machines. They are fun to watch eat. After dinner, we took a stroll around the "mall". Do Not Miss the Fudge factory show. It is hilarious, and your family will be saying "say thank you" for a while after your visit. Don't miss walking upstairs, there is a lounge of some sort up there, and it is B E A -utiful! Very antique, very upscale. We had the kids cartoon image drawn by a nice fellow in the "mall" area. We did not shop much, but it was fun to read the t-shirts for sale in the middle stores. Have fun!

Great place to shop, eat, relax and unwind
This passenger rail terminal turned shopping mall is impressively huge, so much so that the Hyatt Hotel sits comfortably inside the terminal's huge glass roof. The place has been beautifully renovated, with lots of shops and a food court, making it a great place to shop and eat. A man-made lake and lots of cool shady areas also make this a great place to relax and unwind. The place is easily reached by the Metro light rail.

kind of cool
There is this fudge place where you can watch them make fudge. Kind of cool. But it was in a bad area. People out front in the park were doing drugs right in the open. I wouldn't take children here.
