Built in the early 1900s, this museum was formerly the residence of Prince Mohammad Ali, the uncle of King Farouk. While it doesn’t draw big crowds, it is certainly worth a visit. However, the most interesting is the macabre Hunting Museum, which features hundreds of mounted ibex heads, ineptly stuffed fowl, a hermaphrodite goat and a grotesque necklace made of the heads of tiny birds. Animal lovers may prefer to pass on this section.
