Built in the early 1900s, this museum was formerly the residence of Prince Mohammad Ali, the uncle of King Farouk. While it doesn’t draw big crowds, it is certainly worth a visit. However, the most interesting is the macabre Hunting Museum, which features hundreds of mounted ibex heads, ineptly stuffed fowl, a hermaphrodite goat and a grotesque necklace made of the heads of tiny birds. Animal lovers may prefer to pass on this section.

Pictures of the great Ottoman Sultan are placed right above the furniture on the wall. And of course, the big mirror in the hall and hence the name.

The Throne Hall is yet again one of the halls where Prince Mohamed Ali would be seated with his chiefs and have meetings and entertainment sessions. This hall is beautifully decorated with colors of gold, red and white. The furniture too is quite fascinating. The Throne Hall is supposedly one of the best halls in this palace.

TheFountain Hall

The Fountain Hall is quite an innovative one especially with regards to its exterior design. The tiling of this hall is quite colorful whether it's the floor or the walls. The pillars personifies how big the hall is, making it look nothing less than a palace. Needless to say, that the Fountain Hall is called so because of the beautiful fountain embedded in the hall.
