Chicago-to-Mackinac Yacht Race is the most exciting fresh-water race in the world which sets sail from Lake Michigan each July. For more than 100 years, sailing teams from around the world have competed in the 333-mile, 24-hour race. The event is staged at the Chicago Yacht Club, where, in addition to 300 vessels competing, several vintage craft and other magnificent vessels are anchored.
