Built as a cinema in 1929 - the first year for "talkies" - the Victory Theatre has provided many years of screen entertainment for the nearby farming community. It was only in 1988, when farms had long since become apartment-blocks and houses, that the quasi-revolutionary musical "Ipi Tombi" opened it as a theatre. Now it's a theatrical home to anything from long-running Hypnotists to one-off corporates. There is one auditorium level for 362 folk and a bar with usual "snax": but if you want to make an occasion of it there's a courtyard, ideal for snacks with the correct spelling.
