Brasserie Lipp, which opened its doors to the public in 1990, successfully models itself on the Paris original opened in 1880 by a Leonhard Lipp. Set in the Uraniastrasse, this splendid Art Nouveau-style restaurant, featuring an abundance of mirrors, conjures up the latest in stylish French cuisine. Among the specials are seafood and fish but also Sauerkraut, a great range of vegetarian dishes and their delicious desserts. An excellent range of French wines are available at some very palatable prices. Fortunately (for the more sociable of guests) the seating plan is arranged so that it facilitates chatting with people at other tables and striking up new friendships.
