Back to Breezes Not Happy with stay I found only one review when I first checked this hotel, I wish I would have found this site. The resort is run down, crappy furniture, paid extra for an ocean view which was obscured by a trapese. Sheets were stained, food was not good, tables always dirty, out of top shelf vodka for 2 days, oh and the plumbing leak on the 3rd floor which we had to step around our entire 6 day stay, some bartenders were good, others most of them just ignored us. The beach was pretty but other then that I would never ever stay again. Not at all worth the money we paid. I am so disappointed
Reviewed by: bummed out from on Nov 13 2009 Won't go back Went to Breezes 3 times because it we really loved it the first 2 times because of the friendliness of the Bahamians and the safety we felt - even off-resort at midnight. The 3rd time there were so many changes: Singles allowed - at 9 am drunken college kids on break, being obnoxious and vomiting all over the place; Day passes: cruise ship families with 1 day privileges meant having children around (crying, screaming, etc) in what was an adult resort and lots of over-crowding; Day passes also meant that bars were over-crowded so getting a drink took forever; day pass children meant that you couldn't self-serve the freezes yourself and had to wait for staff; staff not nearly as friendly and helpful because of additional stress.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 22 2009 NIGHTMARE VACATION AT BREEZES BAHAMAS SUPERCLUB This is the first vacation I’ve taken in 7 years. I am self-employed -- a vacation is extremely difficult to actually make time to take because if I’m not working, I’m not making money. I have no vacation, sick time, holidays nor benefits. I anticipated the trip of a lifetime, and I spent over $1800 for which I scrimped and saved, working 7 days a week, 365 days each year. I needed this vacation badly and have never been so ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED! I arrived on Friday, September 11th, and left on the following Friday, September 18th. I spoke to manager Vernel Rolle within 5 hours of my arrival and asked to be moved to another hotel. He said he couldn’t do that. Apparently, he is not familiar Breezes’ “Satisfaction Guarantee”, which starts “Satisfaction Guarantee: We want you to be satisfied with your Super Inclusive vacation. In fact, we guarantee it…”

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 30 2009 I would do it again in a heartbeat !!!!! My wife and I needed a break from the everyday grind and we decided to go to Breezes at the last minute. We were there ten years ago. This time around we had a fun time overall. What I did remember was the food was just ok, but the resort had alot to offer. The beach is above par as far as I'm concerned. The staff kept you busy around the pool with games of all types. The watersports that they offered was of a good value. Don't listen to all the bad reviews, as everybody has there own opinion. If you want a good deal give it a try. The entertainment at night was not first class, but they tried their best. Funky D kept the audiance interested with his not taking no for an answer when he wanted everybody on the dance floor.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 21 2009 Breezes Bahamas Is WACK!!! OMG!!! I booked this resort for a nice romantic suprise getaway for me & my husband to celebrate our 1 yr wedding anniversary. What a waste of time & $. I should have spent the extra $ & booked at Sandals or The Atlantis. From the 1st day we arrived we could not get wash cloths/towels. One night we waited for over an hour for wash cloths. The hotel is dreary & smelled like mildew. It reminded us of the Bates Motel!! The pool was foggy & smelled like feet & ass let alone there was a couple having sex in the pool in broad daylight. It was difficult getting silverware from the staff in the main dinning room where there were birds flying back & forth. We would have to prove to the staff that we needed 2 sets of silverware & they wouldn't hand it to us. We had to wait for them to bring it to us & that took another 10-15 minutes because they had attitudes. There was a bat in the main lounge area. The food was DISGUSTING!! The activities was garbage. The liquor was disgusting. How can you NOT have Bacardi? The floors in our room was dirty, dusty & slippery. The furniture in our room was old as hell. Who puts tiles on the shower floor? Me & my husband was slipping & sliding all over the place. There's only 1 mirror in our room which is in the bathroom. The sink was clogged & maintanence came to fix it but the bathroom was occupied & he never came back. The safe reset itself & we had to wait about an hour for them to fix it. There were cockroaches in the Piano Lounge & the flies were out of control all over the resort. I walked down to the beach & there was nothing but freaking seaweed & sticks on the beach. I wanted to go home as soon as we got to our room. It was the worst vacation ever.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 01 2009 WHAT A GREAT DEAL FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!!! I was nervous to get there because i read some of the reviews and thought it was going to be a complete dump. I got there and i was very pleased with the outstanding customer service, the staff treated us like we were VIP's.They were so polite and always trying to help out, I really couldn't ask for a better stay for the price. There drinks were good and they had a wide selection of food. Their club was fun and played great music, they also offered a variety of activities and helped you to choose the right ones for you. My experience was wonderful, i can't wait to go back!!!! My only complaint was it did smell like there may have been some mold somewhere, but other than that i had a very desirable stay. The native Bahamians were polite and wonderful people it was a pleasure to be able to experience their culture!
Reviewed by: Desiree from on Aug 23 2009 You get what you pay for. I recently went to Breezes Bahamas, and although some of the complaints I have read are true, they are mostly exaggerated. I went to Breezes for a wedding and overall had a great experience. The hotel is quite old, the rooms are out dated, and the food selection is not the best I have experienced. However, that being said, my group and I had a vacation of a life time. In fact, many other people attending the wedding stayed at other resorts including Atlantis, Wyndym, and the Sheraton, and they actually had more complaints about their hotels and staff than we did. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating, the buffet had only a small selection but many of the meals were delicious. The bars did not have top shelf alcohol. The pools needed to be cleaner, however I spent the majority of my time in the ocean anyway. The rooms were not what I have normally stayed in, but I didn't spend much time in the room anyway. If you are looking for a five-star luxury resort, pay for a five-star luxury resort. If you are looking for a fun, budget-friendly vacation go to Breezes with the knowledge that what you pay for is what you get.
Reviewed by: Island Girl from on Aug 20 2009 "The Dirty-Smelly Frat House" I am surprised I even lasted one hour. It is as BAD as the other reviews mention. I booked the vacation in May and the week before our stay (08/08/09) my husband called to request early check in. He was told that this could definitely be arranged. When we arrived at Breezes their were at least 2 different couples at the check-in desk complaining, I saw no happy faces, and our room was still not available at 2:30 pm. We were told to go enjoy the "lunch buffet." The lunch buffet had VERY little food and there was hardly any cleared off tables. The bar had only 5 different liquors to make drinks. The floors through out the resort were EXTREMELY dirty. When we went back to the check-in desk at 3pm our room was still not ready so they gave us a similar room. The hallways smelled GROSS!!! Musty and damp. The room had cheap furniture, a cardboard-like bed, no sitting area, cracked walls, and chipped paint. Only one towel was suitable to use because all the others were stained. After we got out of the shower our feet turned black from the dirty bedroom floors. We checked out as soon as we were dressed. The best part of the place is when they said they would Good luck to you if you try it out.
