Designed by Eliel and Eero Saarinen and opened in 1940, this music hall is recognized world-wide as an acoustically perfect concert space on the inside, and as a beautiful example of modern architecture on the outside. The hall was a gift from the estate of Edward and Mary Kleinhans, and was built specifically to be the home of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. It now houses the Buffalo Chamber Music Society, and the QRS Concert Series. Kleinhans also hosts a variety of events, from concerts to commencement ceremonies for local schools.
