Reviewed by: islaprdelcaribe from on Mar 23 2009 If I have the $$, I wouldnt stay anywhere else. First of all this place is expensive. However, I found the level of service and overall ambience of the Ritz was worth every penny. The service was exceptional and most of the staff we encountered greeted us by name. The room we had was clean and comfortable. If you have the $$, give the Ritz a shot. If you dont have the $$ (like us), then start saving and treat yourself to something nice!

The cuisine was great, but it was our server, Joel, and his staff that made it one of the most pleasurable dining experiences ever! So much so, that we returned on our final night.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 21 2008 Could not have been better The hotel is very very nice. It is certainly one of the nicer caribean hotels I have stayed in. The food is outstanding and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is well groomed and the concierge was very helpful and responsive in helping me set up adventure trips during the day.

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 03 2007 Not worth the price We just returned from our honeymoon in Puerto Rico and stayed at two San Juan hotels--the Ritz and the Marriott. I preferred the Marriott. The Ritz was nice enough, but it's just not worth the money. The location isn't great (unless you want cockfighting across the street).

Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Aug 20 2007 If your used to staing at a Ritz Carlton this is not the place for you I was just married there last weekend at this property ,we are used to staying at 4 star hotels and this place did not meet its expectations ..We checked in at noon with my family and 16 guests the room was not ready until 4pm .The rooms are not what I expected, there just ok .The hotel staff was very friendly but the front desk was not very customer friendly ..I would not recommend this property to anyone of my friends and I will not return back again..
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Jul 23 2007 You don't always receive what you pay for... I have stayed at many Ritz Carlton Hotels and this hotel is the absolute worst. If you are attending a convention or conference, well than this is the place to be. If you are traveling with your family, forget it. The front desk personnel can not even pronounce the word customer service. The rooms are run down and are in need of a face lift. If you are expecting the same high quality service that you would normally receive at another Ritz Carlton you will not find that here. It was a very disappointing and expensive trip to say the least.
