a must see - history lesson
This was the first such collection of real information about slavery that I have ever seen put together. There are news clips, punishment tools (flogs)and incarceration tools (neck collars and hand cuffs etc), paintings depicting the voyage to the americas, manuscripts and many other items I have never seen in any museum I have ever visited around the world.

Glad We Visited The Museum
My family and I visited the Pompey Museum in December of 2006. I was a very enlightening expericence. The displays were well done.The staff as very friendly and helpful.
