This restaurant, opened in 1975, manages to stay on Austin's dining forefront because of the innovative cuisine created by chef David Garrido. Begin with one of his signature appetizers, perhaps Oysters on Yucca Root Chips with Habanero-Honey Aioli, follow with a Latin-American inspired entree such as Lamb with Orange Flan and Guajillo Mole, and top it off with a Lemon Cajeta Ice Box Cake. The menu is imaginative, the execution perfect, the service professional and the atmosphere comfortably elegant.
