This stretch of road is named after the local mosque, which literally translated means "Indian mosque." Most of the restaurants here offer halal cuisine, mainly a mix of Indian, Moghul and Malay dishes. Quite a few shops sell colorful saris and cotton cloth from India. The majority of the bookshops stock religious books and a few sells locally published titles and textbooks for students. Along the pavements hawkers tout medicinal drinks and will sometimes put on a theatrical display of the beneficial effects. During the holy month of Ramadan you will be delighted by the assortment of food on sale.
