An impressive collection of Polish and foreign works are housed in a building that is notable in its own right. The museum building is one of the few central Warsaw buildings to survive World War II. Take a look at rich permanent painting exhibits as well as archeology exhibits that include ancient, medieval and contemporary notable objects and works of art. High profile temporary exhibitions consistently grace these halls. This is one of the premier museums of the area.
