Qoyllur Riti means Snow Star and is the name for the festival where the Andean spirit is truly perceived. It is Catholic in nature, but Incan in tradition for its intense spiritual devotion to Cusco's god, nature. Held the first week of May, the festival attracts thousands from all over the country for this ritual held at the sanctuary of Sinakara on the flanks of Ausangate, one of the main Incan Apus or spiritual mountains.NYC Best Hotel Deals: 50% Savings In New York!
