This is a spacious building, located in the city's historic quarter. Constructed in 1934 and restored in 1991, it is today under the administration of the Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. Various recreational facilities are available, with the objective of promoting cultural activities such as dance, theater, music and cinema for the people of the neighborhood and the city. Other events like handicraft exhibitions, puppet shows and performances of various sorts are held here periodically. Admission to this place is free except during special events.
