The Perfect Place
We have stayed here at least 9 times over a 10 year period. The hotel was built incorporating an old monastery and shares walls and some foundation so it is very well integrated into the surroundings. It is is the heart of the Castle District, next to an historic church, near the Palace and surrounded by cobblestone streets, authentic Hungarian restaurants and quiet times in the evening when all the sightseers have left. The hotel has an excellent Executive Lounge, the rooms are updated but still have much of the original wood interiors so lacking in modern hotels. The views are spectacular, looking over the Parliament across the river and offer a panoramic both up and down river. You can walk to the Lance Hid (famous Chain Bridge) or Moskva Ter (shopping center) in 10 mins. There is bus service near the hotel that takes you across the river to Pest and additional sightseeing. In, short, this is one of the best hotels for both being a tourist, conducting business and sharing a romantic weekend with your special person.

Great Picture no service
This hotel located on the Buda side has a beautiful view of the city, but is overpriced and lacks the basics of good service to their guests. The hotel sits on a hill and is 10 minuets to the local bus then a 15 minute ride into town. You can take a cab, but let the buyer beware because the price seems to change in route! As all the restaurants know you are a tourist, so everything around the hotel is overpriced and mediocre. Bring lots of cash, no one will take a credit card!
