i have no words to say how delicious the food is in sol de ,mayo restaurant i order camarones with fresh fillets fish , and palta rellena wonderfull night really its the best place in AREQUIPA

I had lunch there last December with my sister, just a week or so before the holidays. The food was excellent and since the service was a little slow, normal considering the number of people present, we were presented with the excellent local anis liquor Najar as a courtesy of the house and its only a two sol taxi ride from downtown Arequipa. Take a yellow taxi back from the authorized taxi stop across the street in front of the Saga department store.

They serve guinea pigs, head and all; very disgusting presence.

I always find myself going to Arequipa just to go to Sol de Mayo. I've been there a number of times and I always find the place to better than the last time. Their limonada froster was the perfect drink to cool down and start on a fabulous dining experience. I started with the palta rellena de camarones, which was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that goes to Arequipa.

Service was on the slow side. Food was tasty, however, my husband order was never filled.
