Located on the shore of the Ottawa River, across from Parliament Hill, the Museum of Civilization opened to rave reviews in 1989 and is home to over three and a half million artifacts and exhibits of national historical and cultural importance. The museum is also home to the interactive Canadian Children's Museum. Several IMAX features are available. Admission: CAD10 Adults; CAD7 Seniors; CAD6 Students; CAD4 Children 3-12. Canada Dance FestivalJun 5th, 2010 to Jun 12th, 2010
Both established and emerging artists participate in this event, which captures the imagination of Canadian dance lovers. Chiefly a display of exciting contemporary dancing, the festival also offers a venue for new choreographers to highlight their talents, in what has become an important cultural event. International participants are drawn to the festival and endow the event with further flair.
