Wars for Empire
2009-01-01 to 2009-12-31
The Wars for Empire examines the military aspects of the beginnings of European settlement in North America, the establishment of the first alliances between First Peoples and Europeans, wars for control of North American resources involving both First Nations and Europeans, and the emergence of Great Britain as the dominant colonial power as a result of the Seven Years' War. Visitors will see many objects located in this gallery such as bright colored uniforms and polished weapons used during the wars. The exhibit gives visitors the feeling they are in the war zone.
