And the food is good too! In fact it's more than good. It's very good! And if you take in the museum while you're there, even better. Don't expect room upon room of masters as in Chicago or DC but there are some (don't know if they're only temporary, but you can check their website before you go. http://www.okcmoa.com ) And the museum is small enough to hold the attention of budding culture vultures. They will love the Chihuly exhibit (same artist who did the glass sculpture on the ceiling of the Bellagio lobby in Vegas). Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
Why? / Why Not? Good food & culture, my 2 favorite things
A fabulous exhibit We were amazed at the beauty of the Chihuly exhibit. It is absolutely breathtaking. Dale Chihuly is an incredible talent. This is an exhibit we would reccomend to anyone visiting OKC.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Sep 23 2006 Cultural oasis A nice bit of culture in an otherwise bland city. Be sure and check out the usually excellent temporary exhibitions, art-house movies and the outstanding cafe. The permanent collection is well worth seeing but don't expect the types of masterworks in the top museums. I like the new building and location that shows that the museum is making significant strides. One more thing, be sure and indulge in the rooftop bar on Thursday nights during the warm season. The view is great.

The Dale Chihuly exhibit is a 'must see' for anyone - whether you are into art or not, its a phenomenal exhibit that anyone can enjoy, young or old...and I think the OKC Art museum is an overall great place to see some real treasures...this is not a stuffy old museum, this is an OKC hot spot!
Reviewed by: A D from on Sep 15 2005 One of my favorite places! The Oklahoma Museum of Art is a must for anyone visiting the downtown area. The museum showpiece is the beautiful glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly that graces the entry. OMA is the home of the largest Chihuly collection in the world.
