Very Clean, Many things to see. One day and you can't see it all. Only $10 to get in.....What a deal! Can't wait to go back!!!!!

We took our two grandkids and I had mixed feelings about the placde. I agree with others. Some of the staff aren't friendly and act like they hate their jobs which reflects in their attitudes. Most visitors were friendly and courteous then you had some like this one woman who washed her kids feet in the drinking fountain and thought it was ok......back to the zoo..my grandkids really liked it and we did as well I just wish they had less birds and a bigger variety of animals.

I have been to many zoo's across the the United States and have never been as disappointed about a zoo in my whole life. To start the parking is a nightmare and very limited unless you arrive very early. They have San Antonio police in front of the parking lot who basically tell you too bad and to go find another place to park. The front gate people are very rude and simply act like you are a burden for coming to the zoo. As for the animals, what a JOKE is all I can say. If you like birds, then I guess this may be the place for you, because that's about all they really have. The other animals which are few and far between don't even look like they are healthy. Don't waste you time or your $10.00 on this place unless you really feel like just giving your money away.

The zoo didn't have many different animals then most zoos. It was not very big but the landscaping and feeling of the zoo was wonderful. They have tons of birds that are very colorful and unique that I had not seen at other zoos. They have a bird tent you can walk through if you are ok with birds flying all around your head and the poop threat.

I have been to lots of zoos and like to enjoy the different features of each one. Honestly, I hadn't heard a lot about this zoo, but we were in the area and wanted to let our 2 year old daughter have something entertaining to do. This zoo is great for little ones! Easy walking, a nice childrens' area and lots of concession stands make this a good choice for families with small children.

The San Antonio Zoo is great! It's got the standard zoo animals (lions, tiger, rhinos, giraffes etc.), but it's also got species that I've never seen anywhere else. Some construction going on, but it's nothing too big. Very nice place. Will be back!

If you take the time to visit the ENTIRE zoo, you'll notice that there are several themes here. Africa and Australia are just two of them. Although there is some construction, I found it very diverse. Children under age 5 will find the Tiny Tot Nature Spot a place they won't want to leave. They have great customer service and everyone we came in contact with were helpful and answered any questions we had with a smile.

EVERYBODY RAVING ABOUT THE "SA ZOO" . TOOK MY WHOLE FAMILY [MOM & GRANDKIDS ] FIRST OF ALL LONG LINES !!! STAFF IN THE FRONT VERY RUDE. NOT VERY MUCH TO SEE. IF YOU WERE TO BE A BIRD WATCHER YOU WOULD LOVE THIS PLACE! WE HAD TO WALK ALMOST A BLOCK IN ORDER TO SEE ANOTHER ANIMAL . KIDS OF ALL AGES WANT TO SEE ANIMALS THATS WHY YOU PAY MONEY TO GO IN THERE! INSTEAD YOU SEE EMPTY EXHIBITS. WE HAVE BEEN TO MANY ZOOS [SAN DIEGO,ROADING PARK ZOO IN FRESNO,CA.] TO NAME A COUPLE THIS WAS THE WORST! WAISTED MONEY. NEVER AGAIN!

This is a nice and beautiful zoo but it is in AFRICA THEAME so their are only animals that you see in AFRICA. So ther are no peguins polar bears. There are tons of birds!! I f you are a bird person you would love this place but other than that they need more variety. Oh and the people at the front gate are rude! they had a rope up to contain lines and with kids you know kids are going to grab the rope well every time some one would grab the rope they would yell at you and my boyfriend was paying with his credit card but i handed it to the cashier because he was holding kids and watching them while i took care of it and they flipped on me because they thought i had stole his wallet but he was only 4 ft away from me and i informed the cashier that he was right there and also showed hisid for him and she said she would not accept it unless he handed it to her and she did not tell me in a nice way!! so finally we got it taken care of but they need nicer employees to great the guest.
