Good place to stay right in Yokohama
The hotel is very near to the Yokohama station. Shopping and restaurants are near by as well. It may be difficult to navigate or know where you are going unless you know some japanese. The hotel staff were courteous and fine. They speak english so that was a huge relief. The room is small (first time to Japan so assuming that is normal based on what I know) but has all the necessities. The room overlooks the city so good view. The breakfast is good - has the regular american as well as japanese breakfast. When raining, you can borrow an umbrella from the hotel. You do have to walk to get to YCAT for about 10-15 min it is tiring if you have luggage with you. I would suggest taking a taxi from the hotel to YCAT - it costed me roughly Y1250. For lunch or dinner you can walk left from the hotel to a building called Yodobashi. You will find some good restaurants. US phone does not work in Japan so make sure you choose a plan that has coverage or think of some alternative. The hotel charges a Y250 fee for usage per call if using a calling card etc. Overall good hotel right in the middle of Yokohama. I would stay here the next time I travel.

Great location
This hotel is right next to the Yokohama Station, you can get to the hotel by following the signs from the Station. There are tons of great shopping within walking distance. The SeaBass boat shuttle is 10-15 minutes walk through the Station and a great way to go to Minato Mirai 21 or Yamashita Park/Chinatown and back to the hotel. The YCAT is far if you have lots of luggage, but is 10-15 minute walk through the Station to get to it.

Convenient location next to station, lovely hotel!
I stayed at the Yokohama Bay Sheraton for 3 nights in April 2004. The location is perfect: just across the street from the Yokohama station. Actually you have to go underground to get to it, but nevertheless, convenient for those with large suitcases. The lobby is very big, perfect area to just lounge at. There are many Front Desk staff, so you won't have to wait in line for very long. There are also many bell help in the lobby to assist guests with their luggage. I was surprised to see a lot of bellgirls, but that seems to be the norm in Japanese hotels. Now the room. We had a double room overlooking the Yokohama Station. The room itself is nice, and the bathroom was quite nice as well. There are both a bathtub and a shower. We had quite a few faxes, and here, they never deliver it to you while you are gone. They leave a message, and as soon as they tell you there is a fax, it comes up in a matter of few minutes! I didn't get to try the restaurants here, but would definitely love to go there again and try what I missed. This hotel is also just minutes away from a lot of shopping and dining. Everything from electronics, arcades, fashion, and music stores!

Unmatched Service and Location
I spent 3 months in this hotel so I am very familiar with all it has to offer. I would not stay anywhere else in Yokohama. The price is comparable to similar hotels in the area. The service is great and the food options are plentiful.
