The rooms were very nice especially the suite. I used to stay at The Sebastian all the time until they shorted me on change one time (Over $16.00 and said they were aware of it but did not have change) Another time they knew I had paid on a credit card for a room and the room was paid for however still took a credit card for the same room from my cousin. Last straw was not holding a reservation for me.. I loved the food, rooms etc but was very disappointed in the customer service. Sorry I dont remember exact dates but would stay in a pinch.. Just change your charges.

I stayed in July 2008 for $60 nightly for a single (plus 22% for taxes and tip) and it was a bargain, I paid $20 more at another hotel in Quito for so much less, here you get a TV (with cable), an alarm clock, heat, and new, very comfortable furnishings, reasonably priced breakfasts ($6), the staff are well-dressed and professional and pleasant. Would be a great choice even if it wasn't so cheap. Located a few blocks away from the busy night life area so quieter. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

The personnel are friendly and helpfull, greet you by name, and go out of their way to assist you and to make you feel at home.

I almost always stay at Hotel Sebastian. The suites are very nice, food good and the staff super. Never had a bad stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Sebastian last year (2005)when we were in Ecuador. It offers warm hospitality, computer access, wonderful cozy rooms. and very good service. We checked our shopping bags with the desk for a week at no charge while we toured the Galapagos Islands. We came back to the hotel with lots of clothing to be washed before a trip to the Andes cloud forest. They offer that service for a minimal price and our clothing was returned beautifully sorted and folded. We're staying there again this year.
