I thought I had walked into the Econolodge of casinos. Hard bed, old dirty carpet,burn holes in curtain, (had a smoking room because they won't guarrentee room type) had to track down a housekeeper to get decaf coffee, she did apologize saying they had just changed their policy to 1 packet and 1 sugar. Bugs in dining room, saw a mouse on the casino ramp. Was comped a free room, but in the future We will stay at Ameristar. Not a three star, maybe at best a 1 1/2. Latest posted casino payback below 90%

This place is horrendous. I've visited Harrah's in other states and they were great, but this one doesn't even seem like the same company. Most of the staff were rude and incompetent. Several of the floor supervisors treated the dealers terribly which I guess could explain the dealers' bad moods. Very unprofessional and it made it difficult to have a good time. They also completely cater to high rollers, which is understandable to a point, but not to the extent where they treat other customers like second class citizens. I also witnessed a male supervisor sexually harassing a female dealer in front of customers who joined in. It really was incredible. I've never seen that in Vegas or down south. I'm actually considering writing a letter to make corporate aware of their horrible Iowa casino.

the rooms were very nice.but the casino was boring,very small,i did like the horseshoe casino.harrahs was drab no atmosphere.the people were friendly,i wqouldnt recommend this casino.

This was a birthday "surprise trip" from my husband. The room was so spacious. The view from the 11th floor was spectacular. The restraunts were delicious. We had three of the best casino dealers ever. They acted like they were truly glad you came to their tables to play. Thanks to Kevin, Barbara and Brian we had a wonderful first time at Harrahs. They made you feel great if you won or lost. I just had a great time with the dealers and the other players at the tables. I loved the slots because I actually won some money. I can't say enough good things about Harrahs in Council Bluffs. The one thing I would change would be, get a bigger selection on gifts we can buy. The $10 store was always closed. The gift shop was too tiny. Guest like to buy!

Any time you have Bill Chrastel performing there we will be there. He was the best.We have seen a lot of Elvis empesonaters but none as good as him.

Several of us have made a trip to Harrahs Council Bluffs several times a year - We also have family and friends right across the river and we always bring in a crowd to both the casino and the rooms a few times of the year. Up until recently, even prior to the remodeling, the rooms, buffet and casino were among the best.

Never been impressed by Harrah's and disappointed in the Horseshoe since their aquirement of the casino. It's not bad, but not good either.

If you want to have fun and be treated with only the best service, you've got to go to Harrah's Casino in Council Bluffs, IA! Every time we go we have the best time. Our favorite thing about Harrah's is "Stir Nightclub", they have the best drinks, the best music, best dancing around, and an amazing atmosphere! The service there is top notch, when you walk in you know you will always be taken care of. It's by far the best nightclub in the area...including the Omaha area! The restaurant, Vertigo 360 located on the top floor is another favorite of ours when we go to Harrah's. Their food is so very delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date, meeting or party! Every time I've been there I've gotten the best service, and have fully enjoyed every meal. I think it's the management to thank for how awesome "Stir Nightclub" and "Vertigo 360" really are. And if you feel like winning, the casino is the best place for it. I've always had good luck at Harrah's Casino, I don't know how they do it, but they do! I always walk away feeling like a winner, and mostly because of the service they provide there. It's the best! No other casino, no other club, no other restaurant compares...Harrah's is the place to go for an amazing time! And their hotel rooms there are perfect. Always clean, always comfortable. You can feel at home here.
