This is the most authentic and sophisticated of the Middle Eastern and North African restaurants you'll find in the little Arab quarter at the foot of the Albayzín. It only serves halal meat, and no alcohol. The staff speaks six languages - Spanish, Arabic, French, English, German and Italian. The décor is like something out of the Alhambra. Try the exotic pies that combine sweet and savory ingredients like lamb and prunes with almonds, herbs and spices. There are lots of vegetarian dishes, refreshing yogurt dips and sticky eastern sweets. The owner and his staff are genuinely conscientious and want you to be satisfied.average cost: EUR 18
