Since the grand opening of the Las Vegas 500 Indy Racing League in 1996, this speedway has gained instant popularity. This venue is a super tri-oval speedway providing both a one and 1/2-mile speedway and short-track offerings of a 3/8-mile paved oval track, a dirt track and drag strip. This USD200-million facility is considered to be one of the best in the industry with NASCAR events throughout the year. Several driving schools are affiliated with the track, including Richard Petty Driving Experience, Derek Daly Academy and CART Driving 101.
