Love this place
If you are looking for a great atmosphere to have a romantic vacation, this is it! There is so much to do, from a relaxing walk down Orance Ave, to laying on the beach. The town is exceptionally clean, everyone is friendly, and wow.

Great little place!
We stayed for 2 days before our cruise. If you want to stay somewhere slow and relaxing, this is the place to be, small town atmosphere just outside and seperated from the city. Beautiful beaches and Del Coronado Hotel is just as beautiful.

Ken Simmons -- Born here, great as ever!
Was born here -- Even though I was only 2, I can still remember when the sailors returned from WWII. Golf course is now where I lived at that time -- Hotel del Coronado as beautiful as ever. Great place to visit -- it gets better, but it never changes!!!

Romantic Getaway
Coronado is wonderful little getaway place when visiting San Diego. Take the bridge over, stay an evening if you can...vist the beach, downtown shops, restaurants, the local Theatre and of course the "Del"!

Neat little place!
It's a nice little drive out, on a road surrounded by ocean if you come from the Imperial Beach side. Once you get there, exploring is best done on foot, as the roads are all 2 lanes & parking is all parallel & hard to find. The beach is lovely! It's a nice beach to visit at night if you're just looking for a quiet place to enjoy the ocean. Shops seem to be more on the pricier side, but there's a lot of interesting stuff to check out. We spent some time driving around the neighborhoods as well. We had heard (from a boat tour guide) that all the houses on Coronado had to be designed differently from each other, which gives the neighborhoods an interesting feel, with all the one-of-a-kind bungalows with their manicured lawns and all in various colors.

Okay
Coronado is fun for an hour or two. There isn't much to do down there. Couple of touristy souvenier stores. The beaches are overcrowded and not the best of San Diego. I would not reserve a whole day to spend in coronado.

Great Coronado Website to Help Guide You
I love Coronado and learned mostly about it from eCoronado.com. I found my hotel, a place to eat and even a cool postcard. Enjoy the island in the summer especially.

Coronado Golf Course
One of the best deals around! $20 to walk on and play 18 holes in San Diego. You get a few holes by the water and the weather is super. The greens are in decent shape and the course is pretty well maintained for the amount of rounds that get played during the year.
