Back to Margaret Island Peace in the centre of Budapest Great place for a picnic and a bit of peace and quiet. Can be fairly busy at weekends, but a must visit if you're in Budapest. Try a horse drawn carriage or a family bike, good bar/restaurant /casino towards the south end of the island.

It is the most tranquil, gorgeous oasis in the middle of that bustling city. A wonderful escape with gorgeous views of both sides of Budapest.

The quietness of a hidden gem in the middle of a metropolis. A nature lovers paradise. The swimming facilities are of Olympic grandeur and a stroll along a paved path at the edge of the Danube is a superb event. A Definite Must Do at little expense.
