Back to Cabrito (El) One of Acapulco's Gems!!! Acapulco has literally thousands of restaurants. Most of them don't last... mediocre food, bad service, poor atmosphere. El Cabrito stands the test of time!!! They have been serving traditional, authentic Mexican dishes since 1963! They take their name from their signature dish - Cabrito al Pastor - which is baby goat roasted on an open fire... it is phenomenal. Professional food critics all agree... the best in ALL of Mexico. They are also famous for their Chicken Mole Negro... either in enchiladas or sauteed with a chicken breast. Phenomenal!!! Beyond these two signature dishes, El Cabrito Restaurant features classic, traditional Mexican dishes from most regions of Mexico. One can sample Tampiqueña de Filete (a marinated steak grilled to perfection) that includes a tamale with mole sauce. Tequila Shrimp (Camarónes al Tequila); Enchiladas Verdes (Chicken enchiladas with a sweet and slightly spicy tomatillo sauce); and Fresh Fish plates (served in a variety of ways) are their customer's favorites. THE best restaurant in Acapulco for quality, portion size, price, service and atmosphere!! Highly recommended. Visit once and you'll certainly return.
