Back to Romano Palace Acapulco Terrible This hotel Is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.... The air did not work properly and when I let the aware of the situation they did not seem to care.. they supposely fixed the problem, but to me it felt the same HOT!!! Also there elevators are a nightmare we had to take the stairs multiple times from the 19th floor because the elevator could not come for us...
Reviewed by: Yanira from on Jul 28 2009 Not the Best Hotel I have stayed in!! We stayed at the Romano Palace October 2008. The front desk people were very helpful and at night there was a very friendly bell captain. The oustide of the hotel looked very nice and clean. When we got to the rooms it was another story. Starting with the bathroom, there was mold on the ceilings and the shower did not work right. When you first turned it on it made a loud banging noise. There was no wash clothes, we had to ask for them. Since the hotel was on the main street it was extremely noise and at night they had music playing until around 3:30 in the morning. We had an ocean view and it was beautiful. In the lobby was a nice clean eating place. Overall the hotel has its good points and its bad points.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Oct 22 2008 Loved it!! great view!! Its location is great, right across the street from all the night clubs. It is a great hotel for anyone to stay in even family because its in the middle of everything. The pool is big nice and clean it is also over looking the best view.I loved it,great price too. The food was okay but everything else great!!!
Reviewed by: Valeria from on Sep 15 2008 Spectacular view at a great price. My wife and I stayed here in May and thought the hotel was a great option for those who would love beautiful ocean views without overpaying for hotels right on the beach (you have to cross the street).
Reviewed by: aar from on Jun 19 2008 not for the family THIS HOTEL IS A GOOD PLACE FOR SINGLES READY FOR THE NIGHT LIFE BUT DEFINATELY NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY PLACE TO STAY. THE A/C WORKED ONLY WHEN IT WANTED TO, THE SAME WITH THE ELEVATORS. IT IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN AND THE NOISE FROM THE STREET AND DISCOS IS OVERWHELMING ALL NIGHT LONG, EVERY NIGHT. THE ACCOMODATIONS WERE VERY BASIC, BUT CLEAN. THE SAFE DID NOT HAVE A DOOR, THE SHOWER RAN OUT OUT HOT WATER VERY QUICKLY, THE BALCONY WAS VERY SMALL AND SEEMED DANGEROUS TO BE OUT THERE. THE STAFF WAS NOT VERY RESPONSIVE TO REQUESTS AND/OR NEEDS.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Feb 11 2008 Worst I have ever seen This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. It is right accross the street from one of the largest disco's in the city, and even being 5 floors up from the street, the music and noise was relentles, as it continued to 6:00am in the morning. We had a ocean facing room, so the street traffic was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation on the balcony.
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 22 2007 Great location, beatiful view..... I've been staying at this hotel since I was a student. Now as a profesional, I still enjoy staying there. Need new towels, but the view is spectacular and the price is right.
Reviewed by: JONASPE7 from on Oct 28 2006 Paradise Loved everything except the food was average or below and there are only two elavators for 22 floors of turists and one much smaller maintenance elavator for the hotel staff. Everything else was magnificent!!
Reviewed by: A Yahoo! Contributor from on Mar 18 2006 Never Again! We stayed at the Romano Palace for five nights - that's five too many! The first two nights we had no towels or wash cloths, we requested them at the desk several times. Finally someone informed us to leave a tip for the room maid and we might get some of these necessities. We did so and finally got the towels/wash clothes. The safe in the room did not work. But worst of all was the LOUD music coming from the bars across the street. This continuous racket started at 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. We were able to average about 3 to 4 hours of sleep per day - if that! We went to the front desk with the noise complaint which did no good. We even asked for some ear plugs. Of course none of the staff knew what ear plugs were. It was a nightmare and we could not wait to leave. We also talked to others who also complained of the same problems. NEVER AGAIN!
