A Great Place To Stay in Freeport!
Just got back from my honeymoon where we stayed at the Bell Channel and it has quickly become one of my favorite hotels! The staff is professional and incredibly personable, the location is convenient to anything you could want (the staff will make sure you get where you want and have the experience you want), the rooms are basic but comfortable and have exquisite views. All in all I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend the Bell Channel to anyone.

People make all the difference!
My wife and I found the Bell Channel Inn to be very clean. The food was good with proportions generous. Overall service was very good and attitudes were great. The highlight of the hotel was, of course, Genie! She is very impressionable, likable, and funny as hell! I recommend this establishment. good enough
Hotel's restaurant food is great. The staff are very nice. The room is very big, but the only thing missing was a microwave. The taxes on the hotel and the mosquitos are the only things I disliked about the hotel. Not too fancy, but good if you want something cheap and clean. Similar to a Red Roof Inn or a Super 8.

Don't Need Frills...Stay at the Bell Channel Inn!!!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. All the other reviews are correct...there's no "extra" frills..its just like the motel 6 in the states. BUT, it was always clean, the maid service was excellent, food & drinks were great, front desk was always friendly. I truly felt at home at the Bell Channel. Everything is walking distance away from the hotel so you really don't need transportation other than a bike if needed. Compared to 175+ a night..i'm definitely staying at the Bell Channel Inn again!!!!

A nice surprise
At first I thought the Inn was a little "rough"...frayed rugs caught my eye but it was also clean and daily maid service was good. The room was large and comfortable and the view of Lucayan Bay from the balcony was really pleasant. Best surprise was the small neat bar and dining room and good food that we thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone was very accomodating. I walked to the Port Lucaya Marketplace, the closest shops and restaurants, and it took about 20 minutes. Transportation was available but we didn't need it. All tours can be picked up at the door. A neighbor picked us up another day and gave us a lift to the shops. If you don't need "new", with brass rails and glass, this Inn is surely adequate. We felt comfortable and we would go back again.

Enjoy the Stay
Enjoy the stay and it's not really to far from the shopping centers. The View was very nice of the town and Channel. Jeanne helped us plan trips around the Bahamas and included taking us there and picking us up. Also they just watched out for us all together when we where at there hotel. They Even help 2 girls with a lost purse before they had to be back on the Cruise Line.

The Price Is Right
I really enjoyed my stay in this little hotel. I wasn't all flashy and congested and didn't have a beach...but it had a really good feel to it. I was able to stand in on my balcony and see the lights and hear some of the sounds of the Luycaya Marina. I had everything I needed in my room...of course I always take coffee, tea, snacks, etc. So I was set. It was quiet enough to enjoy my novel and active enough to enjoy a little happy hours if I wanted to. The staff was very accommdating and you could walk to bus stop, taxi came to the door, and some complimentary trips were available (to the store and beach). I felt like I was home except in the Bahamas! By the way...I am on my way back in a few days....I was there about 4 months ago!

Price Is Right-Getting Away For Less
The Bell Channel Inn is a lovely little hotel nestled right in the center of Freeport, Grand bahama Island. With very affordable rates, clean rooms, and even a restaraunt upstairs, it is hard for the "budgeting traveler" to say no to this place!

cheapest hotel
The Bell Channel Inn was probably the cheapest place to stay that was near Freeport. The hotel is a bit older and not for someone who likes to stay at the hotel a lot. If you're looking for just a place to sleep and store your stuff this place is the best for the money. If you are looking for a classier hotel this is not for you. The people were nice, especially Genie the events coordinator.
