Back to Point Pinos Lighthouse If you're already there... This was an interesting place to visit, and the husband and wife team that was there to give you the historical and technical scoop on lighthouses was great. It is small and I'm not sure we would have made a huge effort to visit if we weren't already in PG, but if you are it is a great way to go back in time for an hour or so. Beautiful location so walk along the coastal path from PG or to Asilomar and you'll have a fabulous afternoon of sightseeing.

There are some downsides, like it is a small place, its only open for 3 hours and you can't go into the light dome. But free admission and guided tour can't be beat.
