If you're already there...
This was an interesting place to visit, and the husband and wife team that was there to give you the historical and technical scoop on lighthouses was great. It is small and I'm not sure we would have made a huge effort to visit if we weren't already in PG, but if you are it is a great way to go back in time for an hour or so. Beautiful location so walk along the coastal path from PG or to Asilomar and you'll have a fabulous afternoon of sightseeing.

It's the wave breaking coast
The light house is a landmark, but it is not the main attraction. It is the breathtaking, rocky, wave breaking , beautiful coast line all around the area that makes this a wonderful spot.

worth checking out. at least once
This lighthouse is worth checking out. Free admission is very nice, but they would like you to donate. There are some downsides, like it is a small place, its only open for 3 hours and you can't go into the light dome. But free admission and guided tour can't be beat.
