This was a fun outing.
We enjoyed our morning at the Grants farm but the weather was cool and windy. I would love to go again when the weather is warmer. Even my 12 year old son enjoyed this place.

This years visit was not the same.
Our visit with our Grandson was different than the past, in that parking was raised to $11.00 and the food prices were also higher, much higher. As we are on fixed income, we found that these increases were not well thought-out, with the economy the way it is. Our Zoo membership is much more valuable than we thought and much more reasonable in pricing. We will frequent the Zoo more often.

we loved it !
It has a wide variety of animals (some of which you can feed). We especially loved feeding the goats although they can get a little rough when they are hungry. (head butting and climbing on you). And even though we managed to visit on the hottest day of the month, there was PLENTY of shade which was wonderful!!! my favorite part was seeing the Clydesdale horses. the babys where so cute and we even got to pet them ! most of this park is a tram ride .

When are the Civil War Living History days?
Over many years my family have loved spending a weekend day at Grant's Farm. My boys have grown up to love riding the trams and seeing all the aminals in the open areas, visiting and petting the other amimals, and watching the shows.

Wonderful!!!!
I had been to Grant's Farm about 15 years ago and didn't really remember much about it. We took our son on our summer vacation and he absolutely LOVED it!!! He was 2 when we went. His favorite part was the goats that he got to feed with a bottle. I would recommend this to anyone. The clydesdales are absolutely beautiful and everyone there is so friendly! Plus it's only $11 to park and it's free to get in!!

Love it while it is there!!
My husband, daughters and I LOVED it here! It has a wide variety of animals (some of which you can feed). We especially loved feeding the goats although they can get a little rough when they are hungry. (head butting and climbing on you). And even though we managed to visit on the hottest day of the month, there was PLENTY of shade which was wonderful!!! My youngest daughter's favorite part was seeing the Clydesdale horses. One sad fact was a lady from St. Louis was telling us-since Anheuser-Busch got bought out, starting in August they are only going to have the farm open on weekends. This would truly be a shame, especially if it would mean the end of such a wonderful place. We are hoping this was just a rumor, but if it is true, everyone needs to take the opportunity to go see Grant's farm while it is still there.

Farmland Fun
Think a collosal, free petting zoo. You can pet pretty much every animal there, at your own risk of course, from Clydesdales - foals to adult to large land tortoises. You can even bottle feed baby goats for $1/bottle.

timing is everything
Be sure to arrive early in the day, before 10am, as the weekend crowds are large.

Farm couple will go back again!!!!!
When my wife an i took off to head north to the big city she wanted to go somewhere and do something besides going shopping. When we was heading up the interstate she seen a sign for Grants Farm she immediately said babe can we go there? At first i said u can see cows and farm animals at home (chuckling) to make a long story short igave in and we went to Grants Farm we enjoyed the day!! We will be back again and even if it means leave our farm to go to another farm. I would recommend this definately if u have a family that loves animals. Watch out for them little goats there always hungry and the like to eat a bunch of bottles :P We will be taking all the family members up there for a fun filled day. I would highly recommend Grants Farm. It was definately worth the drive even if it is 3.40 a gallon of gas and over 80 miles for us to get there we will return again!!!!
