This is a perennial Austin favorite. Some come for the battered fries served with pepper-and-onion-spiked mayonnaise; others for the Chicken-fried Steak with its crispy exterior topped with luscious cream gravy. Everyone has a favorite here. But it is not just the reliably tasty food that attracts folks; it is the laid-back, friendly atmosphere, the people-watching and the late hours.
