Back to Kinder House Of the beaten track... We loved the fact that whilst looking for the National Museum in Auckland we stumbled accross this amazing historical house, once owned by a Reverend Kinder. Today it is a gallery, exhibiting Kinder's wonderful art in which he depicts history from the local area. We were hosted by a lovely hospitable lady called Trish who revealed more information on the house (guided tour is optional and free!), Kinder himself and his Art. The garden is also worthwhile walking through. So if you are on your way to the Museum make a stop here, it is only a 5 minute walk (at the most) from the Museum. For only $4 p.p. a great experience and worthwhile the contribution to keep this historical house maintained.
