Historic Port Adelaide has a rich seafaring tradition. With a visit to this museum you are transported back in time to witness the "romance" of sea travel. The early settlers suffered difficult conditions on their voyage to Australia and this is their story. The museum is delightfully interactive, enabling you to smell and hear the experience of early sea travel. Board a full-scale copy of a sailing ketch, visit an 1869 lighthouse or see an original steam tug, the "Yelta."2 ¢/min and up – call home from over 100 countries!http://travel.comfi.com/Best Value. 'Ship-wrecked while sailing', if that's the concept of your interest, South Australian Maritime Museum
is the place to visit. There is a permanent exhibition giving details about the major ship-wrecks in and around the port. They have exhibited some very interesting curios like the pictures, maps, treasure boxes, compass and other related documents.
