Have a day out at the races and see the two year-old thoroughbred horses compete over a distance of 1200 metres for the coveted prize of a black opal and AUD200,000. There are eight first class races in this meeting. As well as the excitement of the horses racing and placing a bet, everyone dresses up, with some women competing in a fashion parade. There is entertainment with bands, interviews with local personalities and the "ACTTAB" big screen. Refreshments are available. See website for yearly details.
