This is certainly a fitting name for this museum, as many items on display were pirated from the Forbidden Palace in the People's Republic of China. There is a bountiful collection of paintings, bronzes, oracle bones, porcelains, jewelry and more. Exhibits rotate regularly in order to show as much of the enormous collection as possible. International exhibitions also grace the museum regularly. Guided tours are offered in English, French, German and Japanese among other languages.
