This large traditional three-story restaurant is located on the slope leading up to Kiyomizudera Temple and serves full-course kyoryori (Kyoto-style) cuisine. The first floor has table seating for 40 people and counter seating for 10 people. The second floor has horikotatsu (a hole in the floor that allows the guest to stretch the legs) seating for 60 diners. The third floor is a banqueting hall accommodating 60 people. Kyoryori (Kyoto-style) cuisine includes sashimi (raw fish), tempura (deep-fried seafood and vegetables), miso (bean paste) soup, and pickles, all served in fine "Kiyomizu" dishes manufactured locally.
