This place was fantastic. Went there for a work function, and although the service wasn't too great -- that is just a cultural difference. The food was just amazing. It made me try new things and I had an absolute ball. The staff went out of there way to make sure we all left satisfied with the food. If we had a dish that was our favorite they would bring out extra servings for us.

My recent dinner at the Chairman and Yip would have made me believe I was in a different restaurant from the one that is regularly covered in accolades and rave reviews. Most importantly, every single one of the dishes we had was absolutely unremarkable! No 'zing', no 'wow'... nothing!

This is a very nice restaurant right in the middle of canberra. The food is delicious and the entire experience is hard to fault. Worth a try is the Chef's Selection - a variety of dishes designed to let you sample the menu.

Almost certainly this is Canberra's most upmarket Chinese restaurant. Classy decore, creative menu and a good wine list. The menu is varied and tends towards the Asian-fusion approach, rather than conventional Chinese. However, this combination makes the restaurant rather expensive but the quality is excellent. Things also become very noisy on a crowded Friday or Saturday night. Not the place for a casual snack and beer, but very suitable for a classy meal.
