Federico García Lorca, poet, playwright, musician and painter, is Granada's most famous son. His poetry and plays have been read by international audiences since the late 1920s. Sadly, he was murdered by nationalists at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936 at age 37. This was his family summerhouse where he spent much of his youth and where he wrote some of his most important works. There's a collection of his personal belongings including manuscripts, drawings, compositions, photos, furniture and gifts from famous friends like Salvador Dalí.
